Social Work Placements

Care Co-ops provides opportunities for undergraduates from Social Work courses to complete vocational placements with the organization. Placements range from 80 day through to 120 day placements, depending the student’s requirements and circumstances.

While on placement, students can expect to undertake a range of tasks, placements offer opportunities to work within the Life Opportunities Service, the Housing Service and at the Community Farm.

Each student will have a Placement Supervisor and a Practice Teacher who they will meet with regularly throughout the placement duration. Students will work on assignments over the course of their placement and meet with service users in respect of a designated case clients and assigned projects.

Universities who have previously supported Care Co-ops’ student placement schemes include the University of Sussex, University of Brighton, Bromley College, Chichester College and the University of Portsmouth.
